Coordinate connected upgrades
Changing coping can affect patio elevations and the cover system. A new heater or automation system may require electrical or fuel work. Request a proposal that identifies compatible equipment, safety-related updates, permits, and who coordinates trades rather than treating every upgrade as isolated.
Plan the transition back to use
Ask how draining and discharge are handled under local requirements, what happens if concealed conditions are discovered, and who manages startup and water balancing. Keep the pool secured during construction. A finish warranty is not necessarily a warranty on old plumbing or the underlying structure.
